About the Job

Requirements

  • Evidence of taking something from a customer conversation to production and being able to explain what changed for the customer.
  • Comfort with customer calls, including conversations with partners at accounting or law firms, and a preference for talking to users rather than guessing.
  • Ability to take ownership of outcomes rather than tasks.
  • Ability to reason about technical and commercial trade-offs verbally and in writing.
  • Existing use of AI tooling to ship faster, with curiosity about its future applications.
  • Ability to show something personally built, such as a repository, app, product, or business.
  • Right to work in Australia; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Own a product stream end to end, from understanding a customer problem through delivering an outcome for the firms affected.
  • Talk to customers weekly through calls, onboarding sessions, and support threads; build customer relationships and call customers to test ideas.
  • Decide what to build by weighing customer pain, usage data, and commercial impact, and make decisions with product rather than waiting for a specification.
  • Ship early versions to real users and iterate based on their actual behavior.
  • Own adoption, retention, revenue, production health, observability, and occasional incident response for the product stream.
  • Work full stack, including UX; design initial versions using the design system and involve design when further polish is worthwhile.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in or alongside accounting, tax, law, or another professional-services environment.
  • Experience with the current stack: Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform, Docker, Jest, GitHub Actions, and Datadog; this experience is helpful but not a hiring filter.

The company differentiates itself with a legal-domain focus, verified citations, secure document handling, and backing from EY veteran leadership and notable investors, enabling broad geographic expansion. Its goal is to make meticulous legal research faster and more accessible while growing its knowledge base and reach to more regions and areas of law.
