Requirements
- Three years of experience with Hadoop development and implementation.
- Good knowledge of Hadoop architecture and HDFS.
- Proven understanding of Hortonworks Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Apache Spark, and Apache Storm.
- Ability to write MapReduce jobs.
- Hands-on experience with HiveQL.
- Ability to write Pig Latin scripts.
- Experience managing and deploying HBase.
- Experience with parallel distributed processing based on the MapReduce paradigm using Apache Spark.
- Experience with Java and shell scripting.
- Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration.
- Good knowledge of back-end programming, specifically Java, JavaScript, Node.js, and object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experience writing to network-based application programming interfaces, preferably REST/JSON or XML/SOAP.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills applied to the big data domain.
- Strong experience with deployments and administration in Linux/Unix environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Hadoop solutions.

- Manage and deploy HBase.
- Perform parallel distributed processing using Apache Spark.
- Deploy and administer systems in Linux/Unix environments.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of installing and configuring Hadoop-based monitoring tools such as Nagios and Ganglia.
- Familiarity with data-loading tools such as Flume and Sqoop for loading disparate datasets.
- Knowledge of workflow and scheduler tools such as Oozie.
- Familiarity with the Java ecosystem and enterprise offerings, including debugging and profiling tools such as JConsole and logging and monitoring tools such as Log4j and JMX.
