Requirements
  • Knowledge or coursework in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment Health and Safety, with a strong interest in construction or industrial safety.
  • Ability to support safety training initiatives by preparing materials, assisting with presentations, and reinforcing safety policies with field teams.
  • Interest and foundational skills in accident investigation, including gathering facts, documenting findings, and assisting with corrective action follow-up.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certificate in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong observation, documentation, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to work on active job sites, follow all safety requirements, and travel locally to project locations as needed.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office or similar tools, for reporting, tracking, and communication.
Responsibilities
  • Support the safety team on active construction and maintenance projects.
  • Assist with daily site safety inspections and help identify potential hazards.
  • Support implementation of safety procedures in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collect and organize safety data.
  • Participate in incident and near-miss reporting.
  • Assist with accident investigations under supervision.
  • Support preparation and delivery of safety training materials, toolbox talks, and safety communications for field teams.
  • Interact frequently with project managers, supervisors, and field personnel to reinforce safety culture and ensure compliance on job sites.
