Requirements
  • Certification as an MRI technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in MRI and X-ray.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work approximately two days per week.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during MRI scans by explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing a supportive environment.
  • Operate the MRI machine, select appropriate imaging techniques, and adjust settings to obtain high-quality images.
  • Perform scanning procedures, position patients correctly, inspect images for clarity, and make adjustments when necessary.
  • Screen patients for MRI contraindications, including implanted devices and pregnancy, and take necessary safety precautions.
  • Complete documentation for each scan, including patient information, scan parameters, and observations.
  • Work at the assigned location and set up the mobile MRI unit.
  • Assist with transporting patients to and from the MRI area.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, healthcare professionals, and office staff to provide efficient patient care.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Siemens MRI equipment.
