About the Job

Requirements

  • Hold a law degree and qualification in a major jurisdiction: an EU member state, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
  • Have 3 to 6 years of legal practice, including counseling product or technology teams at or for a consumer-facing technology or SaaS company, in-house or through secondment.
  • Have experience clearing products used by millions under real deadlines and be able to explain past risk decisions, including something cleared, blocked, and fixed so it could ship.
  • Have applied the General Data Protection Regulation inside a live product, including consent, data use, or deletion, and handled AI legal questions such as training data, provider terms, or transparency duties.
  • Write terms for products used by millions and handle consumer protection, content, and intermediary liability.
  • Make practical risk recommendations with incomplete information and explain what could change the recommendation.
  • Use AI tools daily and be willing to automate repeatable work.
  • Work in the Stockholm office and be comfortable with occasional overlap with US working hours.
  • Be fluent in English; Swedish is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Review features, integrations, and launches before release and provide go/no-go recommendations based on actual risk.
  • Handle product privacy and AI issues, including data use, consent and disclosure, opt-out, and deletion controls.
  • Draft feature and beta terms, program terms for partners and freelancers, and user communications about product changes or sunsets; contribute to Terms of Service changes.
  • Track EU AI Act transparency and content-marking duties, map obligations against the product roadmap, and support model-provider negotiations to ensure retention caps and training bans are implemented in the product.
  • Advise on marketing claims, consumer protection across the European Economic Area and the United States, user-generated content and moderation, and liability for user-created and published content.
  • Provide standard positions on training, retention, intellectual property ownership, and hosting liability in enterprise deals, and join customer calls when helpful to advancing a deal.
  • Build self-service guidance, launch checklists, and AI agents to handle repeatable legal reviews; use Lovable to build legal tooling.

Desired Qualifications

  • Platform or marketplace experience.
  • Depth in open-source licensing, including copyleft and patent exposure.
  • Knowledge of EU regulations beyond privacy, including the Digital Services Act, ePrivacy, and European Economic Area consumer law, or equivalent United States regulations.
  • Enjoy exploring new technology and have a growth mindset; experience building something with Lovable is a bonus.

About the Company

Lovable

No-code AI-driven web app platform

Lovable, based in Stockholm, builds AI software that lets people create and ship web apps from natural-language prompts without writing code. The platform uses vibe-coding: describe the app in plain language and it generates and hosts the app. Compared with competitors, it targets non-technical users to produce production-ready web apps at scale and serves enterprise customers like Adidas, Nvidia, Deutsche Telekom, and Zendesk, while expanding across regions. The goal is to democratize app creation by turning natural language into deployable software and to grow the platform through broader product features and global teams.
