About the job
- Previous parts counter, automotive, motorcycle, powersports, or dealership experience is preferred.
- Retail sales experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
- The candidate must be sales-minded and able to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.
- The candidate must be comfortable using computers, inventory systems, electronic parts catalogs, and dealership software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
- The candidate must be able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- The candidate must be dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- The candidate must be available to work weekends and peak dealership events.
- The candidate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, crouch, and lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- The candidate must be able to safely assist with maneuvering motorcycles when required.
- Assist customers at the Parts Counter, over the phone, and throughout the dealership.
- Identify and locate the correct original equipment manufacturer and aftermarket parts and accessories.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Drive retail parts and accessory sales while providing a first-class customer experience.
- Build parts estimates and accurately process customer transactions.
- Support Service Advisors and Technicians with parts required for repair orders.
- Maintain and track special-order parts and follow up with customers.
- Receive, stock, organize, and maintain parts inventory.
- Assist with cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly merchandised parts displays.
- Develop product knowledge of Harley-Davidson parts, accessories, and motorcycle fitment.
- Work closely with Service, Sales, and MotorClothes to maximize opportunities throughout the dealership.
- Follow dealership processes, procedures, and inventory controls.
- Knowledge of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, parts, and accessories is a strong plus.
- A motorcycle endorsement is preferred.
