- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school is required.
- Active admission to the California State Bar in good standing is required.
- One to two years of experience in employment litigation is required.
- Demonstrated experience with court appearances and/or depositions is required.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills are required.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and Lexis and with case management software is required.
Responsibilities
- Manage an active docket of employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct and defend depositions, including witness preparation and examination.
- Appear in court, administrative hearings, and mediation proceedings.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and case strategy summaries.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to advance client matters.
- Communicate directly with clients to provide case updates and gather information.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely compliance with court and agency schedules.
