What believers are saying

  • Centil won a January 2026 MDA SHIELD vehicle with a $151 billion ceiling.
  • Space Force launch spending rose in July 2026, signaling sustained demand across space missions.
  • Sabel’s August 2026 integration posts show Centil is being folded into a larger platform.

What critics are saying

  • Centil now depends on Sabel integration; brand dilution can erase its independent hiring pull.
  • Government-contract concentration stays dangerous; one protest, recompete, or budget cut can crush utilization.
  • Primes and scaled integrators commoditize DevSecOps fast, trapping Centil in margin pressure and acquisition dependence.

What makes Centil unique

  • Centil’s January 6, 2026 Sabel acquisition validates its niche space-domain engineering depth.
  • Centil specialized in DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure systems for defense and space programs.
  • Founders’ USAF backgrounds gave Centil credibility with Space Force, Parsons, Lockheed Martin, and BAE.

Sabel Systems acquires Centil to strengthen space-domain engineering capabilities

Sabel Systems Technology Solutions has acquired Centil, expanding its capabilities in DevSecOps, CI/CD product development and space-domain systems engineering. The deal represents Sabel Systems' second acquisition since Sagewind Capital took a majority stake in October 2024. The acquisition strengthens Sabel Systems' digital engineering ecosystem and enhances its ability to serve defence and commercial space missions. Centil brings expertise in space-domain engineering and DevSecOps to the combined entity. "This acquisition brings together two teams that excel at solving complex engineering challenges and turning them into mission-ready solutions," said Shawn Purvis, CEO of Sabel Systems. KippsDeSanto & Co. served as financial adviser to Centil, with Sparks Wilson providing legal counsel.
