Requirements
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography (ARRT (R)(M)).
  • At least 5 years of current diagnostic 3D mammography experience.
  • A New Jersey state license and CPR certification.
  • Graduation from an accredited program.
  • Ability to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols when working in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure staff produce high-quality images and successfully complete examinations.
  • Serve as an internal imaging expert for the center and create a positive patient and customer experience.
  • Fulfill all requirements of a Staff Technologist.
  • Act as a liaison between radiologists, clinical staff, and management.
  • Provide appropriate patient communication and customer service.
  • Ensure effective communication with vendors and service personnel.
  • Stay current with departmental policies and procedures and inform staff in the modality.
  • Assist in obtaining American College of Radiology and Mammography Quality Standards Act certification for mammography.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and complete required documentation for continuous improvement of patient care.
  • Assist with maintenance of supplies and equipment and notify team members about equipment downtime.
  • Complete quality-control testing established by the manufacturer and Radiation Safety Officer.
  • Take calls from staff regarding call-outs or late arrivals.
  • Provide feedback to management and complete employee performance evaluations when required.
  • Perform technologist EQUIP responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
