Requirements
  • Current enrollment in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related water, wastewater, or utility technology program.
  • Basic understanding of water, wastewater, environmental, electrical, controls, or municipal utility systems.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, with interest in hydraulic modeling, data systems, controls, instrumentation, or SCADA platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-focused environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with design, drafting, modeling, and technical support using computer-aided design, hydraulic modeling, data management, and related engineering software.
  • Support the preparation of engineering reports, specifications, cost estimates, planning documents, and utility technology deliverables.
  • Conduct data collection, research, and technical analysis for project designs.
  • Participate in fieldwork, site inspections, and utility facility observations under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and support compliance standards.

Waukesha-based engineering firm Ruekert & Mielke Inc. will relocate its headquarters to the RidgeView Office Center IV office building at N25 W23645 Watertown Road in Pewaukee, according to a statement released by the firm. The company, which has been based in Waukesha County for more than 80 years, purchased the building for its new headquarters site for about $2.7 million from Pewaukee-based Interstate Partners, according to state records. Ruekert & Mielke recently sold its current headquarters building at W233 N2080 Ridgeview Parkway to Waukesha State Bank for $13.35 million. Ruekert & Mielke will move its headquarters office from that building to occupy the entire 25,700-square-foot RidgeView Office Center IV building, which will be renovated to feature modern workspaces. - Advertisement - The firm's director of marketing and strategic initiatives, Dave Pond, said 70 employees will be relocated to its new headquarters. Ruekert & Mielke has more than 162 employees across eight offices. While there are no specific plans to hire more employees, Pond said the new building will create room for expanding operations. "We've really impacted a lot of the infrastructure and the communities throughout our time here," Pond said, emphasizing the importance of the company remaining in the area. - Advertisement - The firm will remain at its current location until early next year.
