Requirements
Ability to read, write, and follow complicated medical instructions and thorough understanding of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment.
Completion of an accredited American Medical Association school in respiratory therapy or equivalent education.
Licensure by the State of Indiana as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day respiratory care to hospital patients of all ages with pulmonary-system disorders under general supervision.
Perform respiratory therapy and procedures independently, including general cleaning and maintenance of related equipment.
Receive verbal orders from physicians for respiratory treatments according to specific policies.
Perform pulmonary function testing on patients.
Desired Qualifications
Two years of experience is preferred.
