Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience with cloud-native architecture in a customer-facing or support role is required.
  • Experience engaging with and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders is required.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise environments, virtualization, or containerization platforms is required.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to university campuses, industry conferences, and related events is required.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to uncover and qualify Google Cloud and artificial-intelligence-first opportunities, address technical objections around adoption, and develop pathways to clear technical blockers.
  • Lead the technical relationship with premier Higher Education customers in California by conducting product briefings on Google Cloud and Google's generative artificial intelligence portfolio, driving proof-of-concept work, and coordinating specialized technical resources across Google Public Sector.
  • Demonstrate and rapidly prototype intelligent integrations, autonomous agents, and artificial-intelligence-powered workflows within complex customer and partner environments.
  • Design and recommend artificial-intelligence-optimized enterprise architectures and integration strategies using Google Cloud best practices.
  • Partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud and Google Public Sector offerings for R1 and R2 higher education customers in California.
  • Lead proofs of concept and guide technical strategy for proactive, autonomous artificial intelligence agents and intelligent data ecosystems.
  • Engage educational leaders to translate academic requirements into automated, practical architectures tailored for the public sector.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience partnering with Higher Education customers, specifically R1 and R2 institutions, to drive digital transformation and artificial-intelligence readiness.
  • Experience architecting innovative solutions and building demonstrations using generative artificial intelligence technologies, specifically Gemini and autonomous agentic workflows.
  • Expertise migrating and modernizing legacy applications to scalable cloud platforms and preparing data foundations for advanced artificial-intelligence and machine-learning workloads.
  • Understanding of enterprise security and complex networking principles for securing artificial-intelligence pipelines, large language model deployments, and distributed architectures.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to emerging artificial-intelligence methodologies and new Google Cloud solutions.
