The Opportunity 💻
EcoCart is on the hunt for a product engineer who shares our customer obsession and strives to deliver the most delightful customer experience. In the next few months, you will have a brand-new product to build from 0-1. With a strong bias for action, the right candidate’s default setting is shipping fast and iterating rather than sitting on something waiting for it to be perfect. If you are motivated by having impact in a business and have experience across the full stack, we want to talk to you!
A day in the life ☀️
- Putting together best-practice processes for the entire team that enable us to scale fast, but thoughtfully
- Understanding high-level business requirements and using those to guide product feature design
- Maintaining the long-term quality and stability of the platform
- Implementing automated and manual testing strategies to maintain the highest quality user experience
- Working cross functionally with marketing and sales to develop tools that enable growth at breakneck speeds
- Collaborating with UX designer(s) to strive towards a flawless product
Minimum Requirements 🔍
- 3+ years of full stack development experience in a startup environment
- A scrappy, action-biased, data-driven individual that can build processes to leverage the teams’ superpowers
- Someone who can take ownership and solve complex problems quickly and efficiently
- Obsession with UI/UX when creating applications and pays great attention to detail when developing features
- An expert in React, React Native, Javascript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with Svelte or other similar JS frameworks
- An individual who is knowledgeable about modern browser technologies and their idiosyncrasies
- Experience integrating with complex API backends
- Experience working with Figma
Preferred Qualifications 🚀
- Experience working with Shopify / other e-commerce applications
- Climate tech and/or sustainability experience
Salary range: $140k-$160k USD
varies by country - United States, Canada, and Latin America
This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from any country in the Americas. We embrace remote work culture and value diversity within our team.
