About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in product management, growth, lifecycle/customer relationship management, or retention, ideally in a consumer mobile or artificial intelligence product operating at scale.
  • Demonstrated ownership of lifecycle or engagement programs that improved a business metric such as activation, day-30 retention, resurrection, or conversion, supported by analysis.
  • Quantitative fluency, including writing SQL and using a business intelligence or analytics tool such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hex, or Looker to build funnels, cohorts, and retention curves.
  • Hands-on experience with a lifecycle/customer relationship management platform such as Braze, Iterable, or Customer.io, including segmentation, triggered canvases, personalization, and deliverability.
  • Experimentation judgment, including knowledge of holdouts, incrementality, sample sizing, and the distinction between delivery metrics and value metrics.
  • Technical and product fluency across event and identity models, application programming interfaces, deep linking, and push/email infrastructure sufficient to design systems with Engineering; coding is not required.
  • Written communication and cross-functional influence, with experience aligning senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data, Design, and Marketing.
  • Messaging craft, including the ability to write copy, critique user journeys, and judge whether a notification is helpful or annoying.

Responsibilities

  • Own the lifecycle strategy and roadmap for Cantina's owned channels, mapping journeys across onboarding, activation, continuation, retention, resurrection, and monetization.
  • Lead the design, launch, iteration, and optimization of templates and journeys across email, push, and in-product messaging, including the deep-linked landing and post-click product experiences.
  • Optimize the lifecycle portfolio by improving message inventory, relevance, personalization, prioritization, and per-user frequency.
  • Develop an evidence-based understanding of the user journey by combining product analytics, cohort and funnel analysis with qualitative signals such as session reviews, support themes, and user research; identify where users stall and what could move them forward.
  • Design and run A/B tests, holdouts, and incrementality reads, measuring retained activity and incremental value rather than opens and clicks.
  • Partner with the Data team to build the lifecycle measurement system, including instrumentation, eligibility and audience definitions, dashboards, and experiment readouts.
  • Partner with Engineering to ship campaigns end to end, including triggers, personalization payloads, deep links, and the in-product surfaces where journeys land.
  • Define the lifecycle operating model, including intake, templates, approvals, quality assurance, and quality standards, to scale across teams without channel chaos or user fatigue.
  • Set and communicate strategy to senior stakeholders, translating a complex portfolio into a clear multi-quarter direction and defending tradeoffs with data.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with artificial intelligence or consumer-social products, localization or multi-market lifecycle, and building lifecycle tooling or self-service platforms with Engineering.
