OVERVIEW
The Department of Health and Exercise Science in the Morrison Family College of Health at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in public health. We seek applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. A successful applicant will be interested and able to teach a range of public health undergraduate and graduate courses that may include epidemiology and computational analysis, healthcare systems, health policy, one health, and environmental and occupational health. In addition, they will provide academic advising to students and supervise internship and applied practice projects. A successful applicant will have experience in conducting and disseminating peer reviewed research, with the potential to develop a robust scholarly agenda, and the desire to provide service to the department, college, university, and greater community.

Salary range is for this position is $64,000-$74,000.
The University of St. Thomas has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates for the position must have the following:
- A terminal degree (Ph.D., Dr.P.H., or equivalent), U.S. or Foreign Equivalent, in public health, epidemiology, global health, health policy, or related health field. Alternatively, ABD candidates nearing completion of their PH.D. will be considered.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness from prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. At least one year of teaching experience required, which may include experience teaching on record as a teaching assistant.
- Experience teaching different course modalities (in-person, online, blended, experiential).
- At least one year of experience in conducting and disseminating peer reviewed research, with the potential to develop a robust research agenda.
- At least one year of current or recent public health practical experience.
- Interest and/or experience working collaboratively (interdisciplinary).
