Requirements
  • Five to six years of experience in industrial automation and process control.
  • Strong knowledge of programmable logic controller, distributed control system, supervisory control and data acquisition, and human-machine interface systems.
  • Experience with one or more platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Schneider Electric, ABB, Emerson, Honeywell, or Yokogawa.
  • Good understanding of process control principles, including proportional-integral-derivative control.
  • Experience with industrial communication networks and protocols.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, control valves, variable-frequency drives, and motor control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics.
  • Familiarity with factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement control system solutions using programmable logic controller, distributed control system, supervisory control and data acquisition, and human-machine interface platforms.
  • Prepare functional design specifications, control narratives, I/O lists, cause-and-effect matrices, and system architecture documents.
  • Develop programmable logic controller logic, human-machine interface graphics, supervisory control and data acquisition applications, and alarm management strategies.
  • Configure industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, and Ethernet.
  • Integrate field instruments, analyzers, drives, and third-party systems with automation platforms.
  • Perform factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve automation, instrumentation, and control system issues.
  • Provide technical support during project execution and post-commissioning.
  • Collaborate with process, instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, quality procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, operating manuals, and test reports.
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or Automation Engineering.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power, Water, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, or Process Industries.
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 and SIL concepts.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards for industrial control systems.
