Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or equivalent field experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, methods, union jurisdiction, labor agreements, and negotiations.
  • Proficiency in project management software, design tools, and relevant software applications.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and endorsements as required for the position.
  • Pass a pre-employment Department of Transportation physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
  • Pass and maintain a Department of Transportation medical evaluation to drive a Herzog commercial vehicle.
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing annually.
  • Meet the physical requirements of the role, including specified lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping, climbing, kneeling, bending, squatting, sitting, standing, and walking demands.
  • Be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Be available to work a 40-hour work week subject to overtime, on-call duties, and alternate shifts that may include weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Pass color and vision examinations as required by the position.
  • Be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals.
  • Adhere to established safety policies and procedures and report any safety violations to the immediate supervisor.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the total construction effort to ensure each project is constructed in accordance with its design, budget, and schedule, interfacing with client representatives, architecture and engineering representatives, union officials, subcontractors, security, and other parties.
  • Plan, coordinate, and/or supervise the activities of all company personnel on assigned projects.
  • Authorize and approve project personnel transactions, including hiring, transfers, and wages, as well as purchase requisitions and change requests.
  • Assist with jurisdictional disputes and negotiations on union projects as required.
  • Ensure company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards are followed, and interpret policies as required.
  • Maintain the official project log and documentation files.
  • Assist with implementing and interpreting safety programs.
  • Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
