Requirements
  • Minimum 1–3 years of customer service experience, or a Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and accounts in a fluid environment while maintaining accuracy in all details.
  • Ability to work on-site at the Credit Union administrative headquarters.
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts within core operating hours from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., including occasional weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to function in a consumer business office environment and use standard office equipment, including a personal computer, copier, and telephone.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, including file boxes and computer printers.
  • Occasional travel is required.
Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to member and potential-member communications and inquiries through email, phone, web chat, text message, video conference, and social media using third-party software.
  • Serve as the primary source of information for membership eligibility requirements.
  • Address member concerns and complaints as a front-line problem solver, involving appropriate resources such as the fulfillment team, lending department, and management when necessary.
  • Identify, recommend, and cross-sell appropriate products and services to new, existing, and potential members.
  • Promote Credit Union products and services while delivering high-quality service with accuracy.
  • Provide quality service to members, potential members, and the community while achieving established qualitative and quantitative service-level metrics.
  • Assist with online banking access, including troubleshooting device and browser problems and errors.
  • Improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively within the team.
  • Resolve member issues and concerns by explaining policies and products while representing the Credit Union professionally.
  • Stay current on member service policies and procedures and ensure quality and compliance in member-facing interactions.
  • Take ownership of actions, decisions, and results; accept feedback and demonstrate willingness and ability to improve.
Desired Qualifications
  • A four-year degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Call center experience.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services, mobile banking, and online banking.
  • Experience using online banking services.
  • Comfort using various technology platforms.
  • Verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
