Requirements
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle.
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
  • A degree qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or eligibility for registration.
Responsibilities
  • Manage an allocated caseload and complete therapeutic services in a timely manner.
  • Assess clients’ emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments.
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each client.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide support and advice on adaptations to the environment, including home, school, work and residential facilities.
  • Recommend Assistive Technology to assist clients with functional limitations and promote independence.
