Responsibilities
Transport blood products in vehicles to Twin Cities hospital partners.
Deliver and pick up blood components from service hospitals, blood drives, and centers, and assist other departments with deliveries as needed.
Promote the organization’s practices to support customer service for internal and external customers.
Package blood components and supplies correctly and on time for transport, and make timely deliveries and pickups as directed by Hospital Services and other departments as schedule permits.
Understand and comply with policies and procedures for assigned tasks and follow safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a professional attitude and appearance, and demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and cooperation.
Participate in continuing education training, attend staff meetings, and complete competency testing on time.
Maintain vehicles, supplies, and required forms and reports, and record all miles driven during each day or shift.

Summary:Responsible for the delivery and pick-up of blood components from Memorial Blood Centers' service hospitals and any blood drives or centers. May assist other departments with deliveries that need to be made.

First Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
Second Shift: Monday - Friday 1pm - 9:30pm
Job Responsibilities:
1. Supports and promotes Memorial Blood Centers' practices to ensure excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.2. Ensures correct and timely packaging of blood components and supplies for transport. Provides timely delivery and pick-up as directed by Hospital Services and other departments within the blood center, as schedule permits.3. Demonstrates complete understanding and complies with established policies and procedures relating to assigned tasks; adheres to safety policies and procedures.4. Promotes teamwork and communication internally and externally. Maintains a professional attitude and appearance. Demonstrates dependability, punctuality and cooperation.5. The hourly rate for this position is $19.06/hr. (2nd shift will include shift differential)
