Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or one to three years of experience analyzing data derived from multiple reference points for a personnel security program.
  • Excellent technical writing skills, including producing understandable and concise reports without technical or grammatical errors.
  • Ability to analyze data and resolve issues where discrepancies may exist.
  • Ability to synthesize information and identify key findings.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment with little supervision.
  • Time management skills.
  • Professional communication and presentation skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with experience performing data entry.
  • Ability to attain a Department of Energy Q clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Attend and complete professional development training related to personnel security.
  • Assure completeness of investigative coverage; screen investigative reports by identifying and analyzing derogatory and mitigating information; prepare detailed written case histories, case evaluations, and analyses of available information; and make written determinations and recommend further action and processing.
  • Prepare written products that are professional, technically correct, and grammatically correct without errors.
  • Prepare case evaluation summaries covering investigations, reinvestigations, incident reports, letters of interrogatory, and Sensitive Compartmented Information.
  • Correctly enter information and data into all required personnel security databases.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
