Requirements
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems or related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
  • A strong understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, commercial wiring schematics, and refrigeration cycles is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently, work on ladders and roofs and in tight spaces, and perform work in varied weather conditions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a safety-minded approach are required.
  • A clean and professional appearance is required, and company uniforms must be worn.
  • Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check and a negative drug screen.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
  • Commission CaptiveAire equipment by testing airflows, reviewing installations, testing product functions by connecting laptops and running automated tests, and physically testing all equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial mechanical systems to ensure optimal efficiency and operation.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose complex system issues.
  • Communicate with facility managers, property owners, and team members about system status, required repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Adhere strictly to Environmental Protection Agency regulations and company safety standards.
  • Complete a one-week new-hire training course at the company’s research and development facility in Pennsylvania and travel as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Environmental Protection Agency Universal Certification.
