MYOB launches Iris AI layer for small business software.

MYOB launches Iris AI layer for small business software. Mon, 19th Oct 2026 (Today) MYOB has launched Iris by MYOB, an artificial intelligence layer embedded across its software products. The move marks the company's latest effort to add AI tools to its business software for customers in Australia and New Zealand. The system is being introduced through three features: guidance and action within day-to-day workflows, proactive insights drawn from business data, and conversational interactions through an embedded chat function called Ask Iris. Iris sits within MYOB's existing products rather than as a separate application. It is designed to surface information across the platform and help customers make better use of the data, systems and workflows they already rely on. Initial uses include AI BAS data preparation for review, smart reconciliation and category suggestions. The new layer will also support AI Business Insights, designed to identify opportunities, risks and next steps, while Ask Iris will let users query business data in natural language. The launch comes as software groups serving small and medium-sized businesses add more AI functions to accounting, payroll and operational tools. Vendors are increasingly using embedded AI to automate routine work and present data in more accessible ways, while keeping business owners and advisers inside the systems they already use. MYOB is positioning Iris as a foundation across its wider product portfolio, aiming to move beyond record-keeping and provide support that helps users act on information inside the software. Paul Robson, Chief Executive Officer at MYOB, said the launch reflects what business customers now expect from software used to run day-to-day operations. "Business owners today need and expect more help managing the day-to-day demands of running their business. Iris by MYOB responds to a core business priority: timely access to the right information and support to keep work moving forward. "SMEs are looking for less complexity. They need the systems they already trust to become more useful, more connected and more responsive. "Iris by MYOB makes AI an embedded part of the experience rather than a separate destination, helping businesses turn trusted data into decisions, and decisions into action," Robson said. MYOB said the system is designed to adapt as a business changes, using data held within the platform to provide more tailored guidance, recommendations and insights over time. It added that business owners remain in control and that the system is intended to support human decision-making rather than replace it. Product strategy The move adds to a broader shift in the software market towards AI features built directly into finance and administration products. For providers targeting smaller businesses, the commercial case rests on making established systems more useful without requiring customers to adopt entirely new tools or workflows. MYOB has framed that approach as "woven intelligence", with AI integrated through products already used by businesses and advisory firms. The company serves customers ranging from sole traders to firms with up to 1,000 employees, alongside accountants, bookkeepers and consultants. That customer base gives MYOB a large set of financial and operational workflows in which to introduce AI features. MYOB said Iris combines AI with business data already held in its systems so users can spend less time searching for information and more time acting on it. Robson said the company's long-standing position in the Australia and New Zealand market underpins its approach to AI development. "For more than 35 years, MYOB has helped businesses across Australia and New Zealand start, survive and succeed. Continuing to integrate AI with our product suite puts more power into the hands of our customers and partners, making our solutions even more valuable," Robson said. He added that MYOB wants to make existing business systems more useful for customers handling finance and operations. "We want to make the systems businesses already depend on more intelligent and more helpful. Iris by MYOB is how we're bringing that to life, creating software that doesn't just help businesses manage their operations, but actively helps them move forward," Robson said.

MYOB launches Assist app for New Zealand small businesses.

MYOB launches Assist app for New Zealand small businesses. Mon, 19th Oct 2026 (Today) MYOB has launched its MYOB Assist mobile app for small and medium-sized businesses in New Zealand, replacing its separate MYOB Capture and MYOB Invoice mobile products. Available to eligible users of MYOB Business and MYOB AccountRight at no extra cost, the app combines receipt capture, quoting and invoicing in a single mobile product. Users can create, edit and send quotes and invoices from a phone. Accepted quotes can be converted into invoices, and payment status is updated in MYOB in near real time. The new app brings together functions that were previously spread across more than one product. It is intended to help business owners manage routine administration while away from the office, including sending invoice reminders and keeping records current. An artificial intelligence-based receipt capture tool is also included. It reads receipts and pre-fills transaction details for users to review, reducing manual data entry. The New Zealand launch follows an earlier rollout in Australia, where customer use of the app has been rising. MYOB pointed to growth in invoice sends and receipt uploads as signs customers were using the app for routine mobile tasks. Dean Chadwick, Chief Customer Officer at MYOB, said the company had seen increasing use of the app since its Australian launch. "Since launching in Australia, we've seen growing use of MYOB Assist for key mobile workflows, with invoice sends and receipt uploads both increasing quarter on quarter. These are encouraging signs that customers are using Assist to keep everyday tasks moving from anywhere, with everything they need to manage day-to-day admin in one place." MYOB linked the New Zealand launch to pressure on small business owners dealing with compliance and tax administration. It cited findings from its 2026 New Zealand Business Monitor, which found that more than half of SME operators surveyed expected the time spent meeting compliance and tax obligations to be a pressure point for their business this year. Referring to those findings, Chadwick said, "Those behind the businesses that make up the engine room of New Zealand's economy are often juggling an endless amount of admin and compliance tasks, all while striving to improve and grow their businesses. In our 2026 New Zealand Business Monitor, more than half of SME operators polled said that the time spent on meeting their business compliance and tax obligations would be a pressure point for their business this year." He added that combining several common tasks in one app could help owners deal with administration as it arises rather than leaving it until later. "By empowering business owners to manage some of these tasks as they come up and offering this capability in one unified app, we're reducing the volume of admin left for later, helping to boost cashflow and giving them more time to focus on running the business." Team access MYOB Assist also includes app-only access settings for team members. This allows staff to capture receipts, prepare quotes and issue invoices through the mobile app without access to the full MYOB Business or AccountRight file. The arrangement is intended for businesses with employees working on site or away from the office. Each team member uses an individual sign-in, while owners can limit access to broader financial information such as banking, cashflow and reporting data. Explaining that feature, Chadwick said, "For businesses with employees working on site or away from the office, each person has their own sign-in and can complete these simple tasks in MYOB Assist without access to the wider MYOB Business or AccountRight file." He said those access controls were intended to keep more sensitive information restricted to finance staff or business owners. "This means business owners can keep banking, cashflow and reporting information with the people who manage the books, while keeping smaller admin actions moving amongst their team." The launch also marks the phase-out of MYOB Capture and MYOB Invoice. Existing users of those apps can continue using them until 23 November, after which they will need to move to MYOB Assist to keep managing receipts and invoices from a mobile device. Customers can use the app on compatible iOS and Android devices by signing in with their MYOB account details and completing multi-factor authentication.

Printlogic at The Print Show 2026: print management software and print MIS.

Printlogic at The Print Show 2026: print management software and print MIS. Printlogic will showcase its print management software and print MIS at The Print Show 2026, taking place at NEC Birmingham from 29 September to 1 October. Visit Stand P215, Hall 1, to see how Printlogic helps commercial printers, print shops and print brokers manage estimating, quoting, production, purchasing, invoicing and more in one connected system. Printlogic will be exhibiting at The Print Show 2026 at the NEC Birmingham from 29 September to 1 October 2026. Visitors can meet the Printlogic team at Stand P215, Hall 1, to see its print management software and print MIS in action. What is Printlogic? Printlogic covers the workflow from estimating and quoting through to order management, production, purchasing and invoicing. It also includes CRM, inventory, reporting and production scheduling, giving print businesses a centralised system for managing customer, job and operational information. The platform can also integrate with existing accounting and shipping tools, including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, MYOB, FedEx, UPS, DHL, DPD and ShipStation. This means Printlogic can be used not only as print estimating software, but as a wider print management system for managing the complete lifecycle of a print job. Print management software helps print businesses organise and manage the different processes involved in taking a job from an initial customer enquiry through to completion and invoicing. For a typical print business, this can include creating estimates, preparing quotations, converting accepted quotes into orders, scheduling production, managing purchasing and materials, tracking jobs, raising invoices and reviewing business reports. A print MIS brings many of these processes together, allowing information to move through the workflow instead of being managed separately across spreadsheets, documents or disconnected software. Printlogic is built around this connected approach to print business management. Estimating and quoting are central to the operation of many print businesses. Printlogic includes print estimating software that allows businesses to create estimates and quotations as part of the wider print management workflow. Once a quotation is accepted, the job can progress into order management and production. This creates a connection between the original estimate and the subsequent stages of the print job. For print businesses handling a high volume of quotations, connecting estimating with the rest of the workflow can help teams maintain access to relevant customer and job information as work moves through the business. A print MIS is not limited to quoting. It can also connect the operational processes that take place after a customer places an order. Printlogic includes production scheduling, purchasing, inventory management, job management and reporting, allowing businesses to manage different stages of their workflow within the same print management system. The aim is to give teams better visibility of what is happening across the business, from outstanding quotations and active jobs to purchasing, production and invoicing. Print businesses often rely on several systems to manage accounting, shipping and other parts of their operation. Printlogic supports integrations with platforms including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and MYOB, as well as shipping services such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, DPD and ShipStation. These integrations allow print management software to work alongside other systems already used by a business, rather than requiring every business process to operate independently. Who is Printlogic for? Printlogic is designed for businesses involved in commercial printing and print production, including: Commercial printers that need to manage estimating, production, purchasing and invoicing. Print brokers that need to manage customers, quotations, orders and associated business processes. The requirements of every print business are different, so the Printlogic team will be available at The Print Show to discuss individual workflows, existing systems and integration requirements. The team will demonstrate how Printlogic connects areas such as print estimating, quoting, order management, production scheduling, purchasing, inventory, invoicing, CRM and reporting. Visitors can also discuss their current print management processes and see how Printlogic could fit into their existing workflow. For businesses currently using spreadsheets, multiple disconnected systems or another print MIS, the event is an opportunity to see how an integrated print management system works in practice. Printlogic will be located at: Stand P215, Hall 1 NEC Birmingham 29 September - 1 October 2026 The Print Show is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday, and from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Thursday. Visitors can arrange a dedicated meeting or product demonstration with the Printlogic team during the event. For those unable to attend The Print Show 2026, Printlogic can also arrange a virtual demonstration.

Enhancing Power Platform integration in healthcare.

Enhancing Power Platform integration in healthcare. You're probably facing the same issue many healthcare IT Managers grapple with: getting your core systems to talk to each other without risking patient data or burning through your budget. It's not just about connecting systems; it's about maintaining compliance and ensuring staff have accurate information when they need it. The goal isn't just to add another piece of software, but to make the existing ones work together smarter. That's where Power Platform integration, especially with Dynamics 365 tools, becomes a practical option for healthcare organisations looking to streamline their workflows and improve data management, all while meeting those strict compliance and patient care requirements. Why healthcare system integrations always seem harder. The Australian healthcare and aged care sector has unique IT challenges. You've got legacy systems that refuse to retire, new applications coming online, and patient data that's both sensitive and siloed. Ensuring compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles and other health regulations isn't a suggestion; it's a legal requirement that complicates every integration decision. Building connectors for every single application is time-consuming, expensive, and often results in fragile point-to-point connections that break with every update. This fractured data landscape directly impacts patient care and staff efficiency, adding pressure to an already strained system. Power Platform: Your toolkit for smarter connections. Microsoft's Power Platform offers a suite of tools that can bridge these gaps without needing a full-scale custom development project. Power Apps lets you build custom applications quickly, Power Automate handles the workflow automation between systems, and Power BI visualises your data. When you combine this with Dataverse, the underlying data platform for Dynamics 365, you get a centralised, secure place for your information. This setup can pull data from disparate clinical systems, administrative tools, and even financial applications like MYOB Acumatica. For example, you can automate patient admission processes, ensuring data flows correctly from an intake form (Power Apps) to your patient management system and then into Dynamics 365 for billing, all while adhering to data governance rules. The latest release wave of Dynamics 365 Business Central (August 2026) brings specific enhancements for Power Platform integration, particularly useful for healthcare scenarios. When a Sydney aged care provider improved patient data access. Consider a Sydney aged care organisation that was struggling with inconsistent resident information spread across a clinical system, a separate billing system, and manual spreadsheets. Staff spent hours reconciling data, leading to delays in care planning and invoicing. Eagle360 Consulting Pty Ltd helped them implement a Power Platform solution. Eagle360 Consulting Pty Ltd used Power Automate to extract resident demographic and care plan data from their clinical system nightly, pushing it into Dataverse. Power Apps then provided a custom portal for care managers to quickly view consolidated resident information and submit daily care notes, which in turn updated Dynamics 365 for billing and service tracking. This setup cut the administrative time spent on data reconciliation by 30%, meaning more time on care, and improved accuracy for financial reporting. This approach also improved financial operations: MYOB Acumatica's 2026R1 release includes features that simplify invoice processing and data management, demonstrating a broader trend towards integrating financial functions with other healthcare administrative tasks. What to watch out for during implementation. Even with powerful tools, Power Platform integration isn't a 'set and forget' operation. A common pitfall Eagle360 Consulting Pty Ltd see is neglecting proper data governance from the start. Just because you can connect systems doesn't mean you should allow every user to build their own flows. Without clear policies on data ownership, security roles, and solution deployment, you can quickly end up with 'shadow IT' solutions that pose compliance risks. Always plan for a Centre of Excellence (CoE) approach to manage Power Platform environments and ensure all solutions meet your organisation's security and regulatory standards. Engaging clinical and administrative stakeholders early on is crucial; they need to understand how the new workflows benefit them, or adoption will stall. For instance, sometimes a clinical team might prefer a slightly less automated process if it means more control over sensitive data fields, and ignoring that feedback means the solution won't be used. What's next for healthcare integrations? The drive for improved patient outcomes and operational efficiency means healthcare IT will keep evolving. Eagle360 Consulting Pty Ltd is seeing increased interest in how Power Platform tools can integrate with emerging AI capabilities to predict patient needs or automate more complex administrative decisions. Think about Power Automate Flows that use AI Builder to classify incoming patient queries or extract key information from unstructured clinical notes, feeding that data directly into Dynamics 365 to triage actions. These advancements promise to further reduce manual effort for clinical and administrative staff, freeing them up for higher-value tasks and direct patient care. Getting your systems to work together shouldn't be a constant headache. If you're struggling with disparate systems, data privacy concerns, or just plain inefficient workflows, it's time to talk about what's possible. An Eagle360 architecture and governance review can help you map out your current integration challenges and identify exactly how Power Platform can address your specific healthcare needs.
