Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience as a Parts Advisor in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, including Mercedes-Benz vehicles, is required.
- Ability to provide effective customer service, communicate clearly, and build strong relationships is required.
- Ability to work in a detail-oriented manner, multitask, and manage time efficiently is required.
- Proficiency with dealership management software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
- Ability to lift and handle parts and materials weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers and service technicians in locating the correct automotive parts and accessories.
- Provide accurate pricing and availability information for parts.
- Process customer orders and ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Maintain and manage inventory levels, ensuring parts are stocked and organized.
- Communicate with suppliers to order parts, track shipments, and resolve supply issues.
- Use dealership management software to check parts availability, input orders, and manage inventory.
- Prepare parts estimates and quotes for customers.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and courteously.
- Keep the parts department clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and resources.
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure all necessary parts are available for scheduled repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain current product knowledge and awareness of industry trends to better assist customers and service technicians.
