Requirements
  • The candidate must have 4 or more years of experience shipping production full-stack software.
  • The candidate must have production experience with TypeScript and React.
  • The candidate must have backend service and API development experience in a typed language, with strong data modeling instincts.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated ownership of a project from problem discovery through deployment, adoption, and iteration, rather than working from assigned tickets.
  • The candidate must be comfortable working directly with non-technical users, including on a factory floor.
  • The candidate must be willing to travel to Amca factory sites across the United States as needed.
  • The candidate must be a U.S. person within the meaning of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Embed with teams at headquarters and at factory sites, spending sufficient time observing operations firsthand to identify actual constraints.
  • Identify problems worth solving by interviewing operators, quality, planning, supply chain, and engineering teams, and quantify the cost of the current process before proposing to replace it.
  • Evaluate whether software is the appropriate solution, recognize when constraints are better addressed through process or workflow changes, and make that recommendation clearly.
  • Own product decisions, including scope, prioritization, sequencing, and the choice of what not to build, without a product manager writing requirements.
  • Build solutions end to end using TypeScript and React on the front end and Go services with supporting data models on the back end, and take them through production.
  • Design interfaces independently, producing clear and efficient experiences suited to production use.
  • Move quickly from concept to working software and put a usable version in front of users early so their feedback can validate or redirect the approach.
  • Drive adoption after launch by working alongside users, gathering feedback, and iterating until the tool delivers measurable value.
  • Determine the disposition of each project after it has proven itself by hardening successful prototypes into supported products with a clear owner and deliberately retiring those that have not earned continued investment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Full-stack experience with TypeScript, React, Go, Python, and SQL.
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, field operations, or another operations-heavy domain.
  • Strong design sense and the ability to produce a clean and usable interface without a designer.
  • SQL proficiency and confidence working through an unfamiliar database to answer questions independently.
  • Experience integrating with enterprise resource planning, manufacturing execution, product lifecycle management, or other systems of record and their integration surfaces.
  • A track record of building internal tooling with demonstrated adoption.
  • Startup or small-team experience with end-to-end ownership of a product surface.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Amca raised $300 million in May 2026 at a $1 billion valuation.
  • The company keeps acquiring suppliers, including BC Systems, Electrocube, Cal-Draulics, and Payne Magnetics.
  • Its F-35 deployment and 67% faster deliveries prove demand for faster qualification now.

What critics are saying

  • Executing six factory integrations after the May 2026 Series B strains quality and uptime.
  • Customer concentration on primes and classified programs makes one program loss immediately painful.
  • If RAPID fails AS9100, qualification, or defense delivery promises, the thesis collapses.

What makes AMCA unique

  • RAPID compresses component timelines 67% and spans design, qualification, and manufacturing.
  • Amca now runs six factories and 123,000 square feet across California, Iowa, and New York.
  • It sells into Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Airbus, Honeywell, and Raytheon.
