  • 7+ years experience as an HR Generalist or a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to make timely, effective, principles-based decisions
  • Organized with high attention to detail
  • Familiar with a fast-paced startup environment
  • Ability to work independently and operate in ambiguity
  • Paralegal experience is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with corporate policies and applicable laws and regulations
  • Manage compliance with Federal and State Labor Laws, FMLA, Workers Compensation, and Unemployment regulations
  • Respond to unemployment claims and employment verifications
  • Address worker separations compliantly
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process and onboarding for internal positions
  • Partner with leadership on performance reviews, manager coaching, benefits, culture crew, onboarding, and other people ops projects
