Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 3–6 years of program management, project management, engineering management, or defense contracting experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of program and project management concepts and tools, including schedules, trackers, budgets, and action items.
  • Familiarity with financial tracking, including budgets, spend plans, and earned value management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and remain highly motivated.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project or Planner, and Teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Willingness to work in various offices in the DMV, including Bethesda, Maryland; Olney, Maryland; and Washington, DC, to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Support the overall planning, execution, and oversight of Navy and U.S. Marine Corps Corrosion Prevention and Control research, development, test, and evaluation efforts.
  • Support the maintenance and growth of the programs.
  • Assist the senior program manager, government managers, and technical subject matter experts with schedule management, financial tracking, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and program deliverables.
  • Supervise and oversee staff and ensure milestones and project execution align with program and contract requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, logistics, contracts, and academic partners, to align with program objectives.
  • Monitor program performance, deliverables, funding status, and task execution.
  • Support budget tracking, project scope management, labor forecasting, earned value management, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare status reports, executive summaries, and briefing materials for government leadership.
  • Track program risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Navy and Department of Defense policies and procedures.
  • Maintain customer relationships and provide responsive support to government stakeholders.
  • Develop laboratory test plans.
  • Conduct experiments methodically, analyze data, and interpret results.
  • Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
  • Conduct field investigations.
  • Perform data analysis and technical writing.
Desired Qualifications
  • Current Secret-level security clearance.
  • Project Management Professional or Certified Associate in Project Management certification.
  • Experience working with and supporting U.S. Navy, Army, or U.S. Marine Corps programs.
  • Technical expertise in materials science or materials engineering, especially corrosion and coatings; electrical engineering; mechanical engineering; and military vehicles and ships.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistics.
