Flipdish appoints Brian O'Driscoll as Chief Financial Officer

Flipdish appoints Brian O'Driscoll as Chief Financial Officer. Brian is a seasoned technology-sector CFO and Chartered Director with more than 20 years' experience scaling high-growth organisations. Flipdish, the leader in AI technology for hospitality, today announces the appointment of Brian O'Driscoll as Chief Financial Officer as the company enters its next phase of growth. Brian O'Driscoll is a seasoned technology-sector CFO and Chartered Director with more than 20 years' experience scaling high-growth organisations, leading complex transactions, and building world-class finance and operational capabilities. His background spans growth-stage SaaS companies, private equity environments, and large-scale multinational expansion. Prior to joining Flipdish, Brian served as CFO of TitanHQ, where he partnered with private equity investors to drive accelerated growth, enhance operational performance, and deliver a successful exit. Before TitanHQ, he was senior finance leader for Qualtrics in Europe, overseeing the organisation's EMEA expansion from 75 to 750 employees and contributing to its global sale to SAP for 8 billion dollars, paving the way for its subsequent IPO. A strategic appointment for Flipdish's next chapter. Conor McCarthy, co-founder and CEO of Flipdish, commented: "Brian brings exceptional financial and operational expertise, together with deep experience supporting high-growth technology companies. As Flipdish continues to scale, his leadership will accelerate our strategy, sharpen our execution, and unlock the next phase of growth for our customers and for Flipdish." Brian O'Driscoll, incoming CFO of Flipdish, added: "I am thrilled to join Flipdish as it enters its next phase of growth. Flipdish Launches AI Phone Agent to Make Every Call an Order

Flipdish launches AI Phone Agent to make every call an order. Flipdish, known as a frontrunner in applied AI for the hospitality sector, has introduced its newest innovation - Flipdish AI Phone Agent, an advanced conversational AI designed to ensure restaurants never lose a call or an order. With this launch, the company takes a significant leap toward integrating AI throughout its platform, allowing restaurants to offer faster service, greater consistency, and improved revenue without increasing staff workload. The announcement took place at Dished Live '25 in London, where CEO Conor McCarthy revealed how the new system strengthens Flipdish's mission of enhancing every customer interaction. The AI-powered phone solution instantly responds to customer calls, accurately processes orders, offers personalized upsells, securely handles payments, and forwards the final order to the restaurant's POS or kitchen printer - all within the Flipdish ecosystem. "In restaurants everywhere, the phone never stops ringing. But every missed call is an order lost to the competition," said Conor McCarthy, CEO and Co-Founder of Flipdish. "Flipdish AI Phone Agent ensures every call is answered, every order captured, and every customer served perfectly, without adding a single shift to the rota. This isn't just another AI tool. It's the next evolution of the Flipdish platform, combining our deep hospitality expertise with advanced conversational AI to make operations more efficient, and more profitable." How it functions. Flipdish designed the AI Phone Agent to act like a top-performing staff member - only faster, more reliable, and optimized to boost revenue on every call. The system: * Immediately answers every call with AI trained on the restaurant's own brand voice * Naturally verifies orders, including notes, modifications, and delivery details * Recommends add-ons and featured items to lift average order value * Accepts secure payments during the call * Sends each completed order straight to Flipdish POS or the kitchen printer This eliminates missed calls, minimizes human error, and reduces the need for additional employees. Intelligence across the Flipdish platform. Because the AI Phone Agent integrates directly into the greater Flipdish platform, restaurants gain a unified AI-powered environment for online ordering, POS, loyalty programs, and marketing. For brands with multiple locations, the tool ensures a consistent tone, accurate menus, and uniform customer experiences - whether customers engage online, via app, in-store, or over the phone. Every phone order also feeds into Flipdish's data engine, unlocking deeper operational insights and enabling more effective marketing automation. Boosting loyalty and personalized engagement. The AI Phone Agent strengthens customer loyalty by ensuring every phone order contributes to the restaurant's Flipdish rewards program. The system identifies returning customers, checks their loyalty status, and can recommend customized offers to encourage repeat business. This transforms casual callers into long-term loyal guests. The solution is currently available to restaurants and takeaway businesses across the UK, Ireland, and select international regions. It works seamlessly with Flipdish POS, loyalty systems, and kitchen printers. "This launch shows how AI can be truly transformative when it's built into a platform that already runs a restaurant's operations," added McCarthy. "We're not adding complexity, we're removing it, by letting AI handle the repetitive work so people can focus on great hospitality."
