- A valid CCQ competency card as a welder or welder-pipefitter is required.
- A vocational diploma in welding-fabrication or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience in an industrial, institutional, or municipal environment is required.
- The ability to read and interpret fabrication and installation plans is required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Availability to work at different job sites is required.
- Perform welding and fitting work on job sites.
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, and isometric drawings.
- Prepare, assemble, and install piping components and metal structures.
- Perform welds that comply with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Modify and repair existing installations.
- Safely operate lifting equipment and job-site tools.
- Follow health and safety procedures and customer requirements.
- Participate in planned shutdowns and industrial maintenance work.
- An ASP Construction card is an asset.
- CWB certifications are an asset.
- Experience with industrial piping and stainless steel is an asset.
- Experience with TIG, MIG, and SMAW welding is an asset.
