Requirements
  • Strong customer service skills are required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Education from an approved medical assistant program or equivalent is required.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with providers to assist in delivering care to patients.
  • Provide customer service to new and existing patients of the practice.
  • Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
  • Take vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, pulse oximetry, weight, height, and respiratory rate, and accurately enter them into the electronic medical record.
  • Record patient history, chief complaint, pharmacy information, prescription list, and related information into the electronic medical record for physical examinations.
  • Obtain required consents and complete required forms for specific visit types.
  • Perform in-office testing and electrocardiograms as needed, including performing controls on certain in-office tests.
  • Assist providers with in-office medical procedures.
  • Properly label specimens in accordance with Health Medical Group policy.
  • Chaperone providers as required.
  • Administer vaccines and medications as ordered by providers in accordance with Health Medical Group policies.
  • Follow Transitional Care Management, Chronic Care Management, and Remote Patient Monitoring workflows when active in the practice.
  • Stock rooms and monitor expiration dates of examination-room supplies.
  • Monitor and log medication and vaccine refrigerator temperatures.
  • Answer, triage, and appropriately route incoming telephone calls.
  • Follow scheduling rules and directly schedule patient visits in other Health Medical Group practices.
  • Review schedules as part of clinical pre-visit review to ensure providers have the information needed for patient visits, and contact facilities or other practices to obtain missing results, consultation notes, or hospital notes.
  • Schedule patient appointments and testing ordered by providers at checkout or as otherwise requested.
  • Perform outreach to selected patient groups for patient care and quality initiatives, then schedule specialty appointments and testing as required.
  • Inform the manager of clinical supply needs or assist with ordering.
  • Obtain prior authorizations and insurance referrals as needed by the practice.
  • Work assigned clinical buckets in a timely manner.
  • Work independently with little supervision.
  • Adhere to Health Medical Group policies.
  • Protect patient confidentiality through the appropriate use of discretion.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with electronic medical records, preferably Athena.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • One to three years of experience as a medical assistant.

(“TriSalus” or the “company”), an oncology company in the process of going public through a business combination transaction (the “Business Combination”) with MedTech Acquisition Corporation (Nasdaq: MTAC) (“MedTech” or “MTAC”), today announced that it has expanded the reach of its ongoing Pressure-Enabled Regional Immuno-Oncology™ (“PERIO™-01” and “PERIO™-02”) clinical program.In recent months TriSalus has opened five new PERIO™-01 (NCT04935229) clinical trial sites, at Stanford University Hospitals, University of California Los Angeles, University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Campus, University of Washington Medical Center and University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, in addition to five previously activated sites.
