Requirements
  • An associate degree in engineering, electronics, mechanics, or refrigeration, with 7 to 12 years of related experience.
  • The ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipment, tools, or controls; stand, walk, talk, hear, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and smell; and lift or move 25 to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • The ability to work in weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, in wet or humid conditions, and in odorous atmospheres; possible exposure to fumes and electrical shock; and occasional work on ladders, in high places, and in small spaces such as lift or metering stations, manholes, tanks, and wet wells.
  • The specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
  • Perform all assigned functions with minimal or no supervision.
  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on work priority, equipment quantity, and personnel skill.
  • Monitor work areas and examine tools and equipment to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules.
  • Monitor employees' work levels and review their work performance.
  • Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist them in correcting job-skill deficiencies.
  • Requisition materials and supplies, including tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
  • Conduct or arrange worker training in safety, repair, maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
  • Ensure client utilities equipment operation-parameter documentation is maintained.
  • Ensure utilities equipment has operating procedures based on the manufacturer's operation manual or recommendations.
  • Provide technical support and advice to ensure operational activities comply with corporate and government policies and regulations cost-effectively and within customer timelines.
  • Understand customer needs and expectations, anticipate project barriers, and communicate potential adverse impacts promptly.
  • Ensure documentation is error-free, controlled, and well organized.
  • Manage technical issues and problems appropriately and efficiently.
  • Review work performed and documentation submitted, obtain client feedback, and monitor project status against client requirements to ensure service quality.
  • Issue performance review reports to supervised employees.
  • Develop customer relations and new business opportunities.
  • Promote professional, trusting relationships with Mentor clients and maintain open communication.
  • Alert management to identified problems and recommend improvements.
  • Comply with Mentor administrative requirements, including weekly reports and updates to curricula vitae, medical and training records, and attendance.
  • Attend Project Leaders and Managers meetings and follow up on discussed action items.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the manager, upper management, or client.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field, with 5 to 10 years of related experience.
  • Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice-regulated manufacturing environment and supervisory role.
