Job Title - Technical Product Manager - Hotel Supply & Connectivity

Team - you will join Global Hotel, lastminute.com group's hotel sourcing and distribution division, managing direct contracts with 23,000+ hotel properties worldwide. We operate sophisticated B2C distribution through the group's consumer brands and are expanding our B2B capabilities through strategic partnerships and technology platforms.

What your impact will be

Own the backlog and end-to-end delivery for one or more supply and connectivity product areas, including channel connectivity, extranet and internal supply tools, serving our B2C brands and supporting strategic B2B initiatives.
Work closely with engineering teams to translate business requirements into clear specifications.
Manage day-to-day prioritisation and trade-offs to keep delivery moving.
Run continuous discovery with internal supply and operations stakeholders, as well as connectivity partners.
Drive your team's prioritisation and roadmap with clear reasoning and foundations that facilitate alignment across your area and the company.
Define success metrics and KPIs for each product initiative.
Analyse connectivity performance, content quality, booking conversion and operational efficiency indicators to inform prioritisation.
Collaborate effectively across distributed teams in Europe and Asia.

Qualifications

Your expertise:

3+ years of experience in Product Management, or in an equivalent technical or analyst role transitioning into product, ideally with exposure to B2B, platform or integration products.
Genuine technical acumen: comfortable with APIs, data flows and system integrations, and able to hold credible technical discussions with engineers.
Analytical and data-driven, comfortable with SQL or able to learn it quickly.
Curiosity about hotel supply and distribution and a clear desire to specialise in the technical, supply-facing side of product.

Desirable:

Exposure to hotel distribution technology, including channel managers, GDS, OTA integrations and property management systems.
Experience with supply-side, platform or internal-tooling products rather than consumer UX.
Proficiency in extracting insights from data.
Deep curiosity and an interest in keeping up to date with the latest trends and news in the hotel business.
AI proficiency, with the ability to embed AI into daily work, from creating ways to automate and work more efficiently to data analysis and building working prototypes end to end.

Type A travellers often miss out on savings despite detailed holiday planning. One in five holidaymakers who book trips well in advance later discover the same flight or hotel has dropped in price as the departure date nears, according to new research. Article continues below But the study of 2,000 adults who have travelled abroad in the last three years found 20% of Type A travellers later spotted the exact flight or hotel they had spent weeks researching available for significantly less. Another 10% said they had lost money trying to amend or cancel rigid bookings when their plans changed. Article continues below Despite that, almost three quarters (73%) of Type As said booking a holiday just a week before departure feels too risky. However, 36% of Type B travellers said they feel confident there is little risk of missing out on their dream destination, even without planning months in advance. The research was commissioned by lastminute.com to mark the launch of its 'Travel Bgents' platform, a hub that rewards Type B bookers with extra discounts. Zoë Fidler, from the holiday firm, said: "There's a common misconception that Type B travellers are just unstructured non-planners who leave things to chance. In reality, they are the savviest bookers in the game. "Type B travellers have simply realised that holding off on pressing 'book' is the smartest move you can make, knowing they can get what they want and at a great price." Around 30% of Type B travellers said they feel reassured they could change plans on a whim when leaving it late to lock in their trip. And it's not just about saving money and planning time. Some 42% of Type B travellers said spontaneous adventures while on holiday create lasting memories - compared with 20% of Type A travellers. Type B travellers were also more likely to say they stumble across hidden gems (36% vs 28%) or enjoy unexpected moments (42% vs 20%).
