This position is located at St. Vincent's- Anderson, IN.

Responsibilities

Howyou’llmake an impact in this role

• Controls, starts, and shuts down primary and auxiliary power plant equipment—including boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, and compressors—using control boards and sequential switches.

• Monitors meters, gauges, and computer systems at established intervals to regulate power flow, adjust water levels, and detect potential operating problems.

• Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs, such as cleaning, lubricating equipment, and tightening leaking joints, to prevent system failure or deterioration.

• Documents plant operations bymaintainingaccuratelogs, completing forms, writing equipment malfunction reports, and handling emergency outage communication.

• Leads team operations by assigning daily work to maximize plant efficiency,assistingwith shift scheduling, and training team members on equipmentmonitoringand maintenance.

• Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cross-functional teams,participatesin informational meetings and workshops, andassistswith specialprojects asassigned.

Qualifications

Whatminimumrequirementsyou’llneed

Must have one or more of the following:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Relevant license 

• Graduate of trade school
  

Andone or more of the following:

• 5years ofrelevantexperience.

• Other equivalentcombinationof relevant education or experience
