About the job

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally including high-volume or multi-site hiring.
  • A track record of personally building or significantly overhauling a recruiting process or technology stack.
  • Hands-on experience with an applicant tracking system; direct Greenhouse experience is a strong plus, along with working knowledge of sourcing, scheduling, and workflow-automation tools.
  • Ability to build and interpret a recruiting dashboard and make decisions from recruiting data.
  • Ability to judge what to automate, what requires human involvement, and when a process is ready to scale.
  • Ability to influence regional and site-level leaders who do not report to the role.
  • Understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, recruiting differences across geographic markets, including labor supply, compensation benchmarks, and competitive dynamics.
Responsibilities
  • Run full-cycle recruiting for property management roles, from site-level and community teams through regional and portfolio-level positions.
  • Manage and mentor the property management recruiting team.
  • Source and close talent for each role, and define what high performance means for each role and market.
  • Understand differences across markets, including talent supply, compensation norms, competitive landscape, and seasonality, and adjust sourcing and candidate pitches accordingly.
  • Partner with hiring managers and regional leaders, advising on hiring strategy.
  • Design and implement a scalable, increasingly automated recruiting process for the property management division, from requisition through offer.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and help implement recruiting technology, including applicant tracking, sourcing, screening and assessment, scheduling automation, and workflow tools, appropriate for a multi-site workforce.
  • Build repeatable workflows for high-volume, high-turnover roles such as leasing, maintenance, and community management, as well as selective processes for senior hires.
  • Create reporting and metrics for pipeline health, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire.
  • Document the process so it runs consistently across markets and can eventually be handed off or delegated.
  • Manage the recruiting process day to day, own the tools, refine workflows, and improve time-to-fill and quality-of-hire.
  • Recommend what to automate next and make the case for it.
  • Stay current on recruiting technology and multifamily and property-management hiring trends, particularly for high-volume, multi-market hiring.
  • As volume and scope grow, make the case for and potentially hire, onboard, and lead additional recruiters or coordinators.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience recruiting specifically for multifamily, affordable housing, or property management roles.
  • Experience with Workday, including leading a Greenhouse-to-Workday integration or migration.
  • Experience with AI-powered sourcing, screening, or scheduling tools.
  • Experience leading or co-leading an applicant tracking system or human resources information system implementation or migration.
  • Experience recruiting across a large multi-state footprint.
  • Prior experience building and managing a small recruiting team.
