Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a Court Reporter.
  • Prior experience and personal equipment are required; training is not provided.

Responsibilities
  • Take down proceedings using machine shorthand, voice, or digital capture.
  • Capture verbatim proceedings of courts, meetings, depositions, and hearings.
  • Administer oaths and participate in depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Transport, set up, and operate equipment to capture the record accurately.
  • Prepare in advance for assignments, including building job worksheets, reviewing case information, and ensuring proper hardware setup.
  • Secure all exhibits, perform required file backups, and complete and upload required worksheets at the close of the proceeding.
  • Maintain all required reports and logs and respond promptly to communications.
  • Represent the company professionally in all proceedings and interactions.
  • Interact with high-level federal government, state government, and private-industry clients.
Desired Qualifications
  • NCRA, AAERT, or NVRA certification is strongly preferred.
