About the job

Requirements
  • At least 2 years of recent experience in printed circuit board layout design and electrical engineering principles.
  • Proficiency with printed circuit board design software, with Altium Designer preferred.
  • Understanding of signal integrity principles, electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic compatibility considerations, and thermal management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including surface-mount and through-hole assembly.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and design-for-manufacturability principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot design issues and solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Translate electrical schematics into optimized printed circuit board layouts that meet performance, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lay out printed circuit boards under the direction of electrical engineers and provide support across the PCB design process.
  • Manage workflow from schematic through layout to manufacturing.
  • Vet component-library entries for correctness and ensure symbols, footprints, and three-dimensional models match datasheet information and company templates.
  • Create multilayer board designs ranging from two-layer boards to complex high-speed digital and mixed-signal boards.
  • Optimize component placement for thermal management, signal integrity, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Route high-speed differential pairs, controlled-impedance traces, and power-distribution networks.
  • Perform design-rule checks and electrical-rule checks.

What believers are saying

  • Diatech acquisition on October 7, 2025 deepened DEKA’s diabetes delivery stack.
  • Emergex collaboration keeps DEKA’s intradermal applicator active across 2026 biotech pipelines.
  • Revelio counted 872 employees in March 2026, and hiring stayed active.

What critics are saying

  • Sequel Med Tech drives twiist commercialization; any 2026 launch miss starves DEKA royalties.
  • Dean Kamen’s February 2026 Epstein scrutiny pressures recruiting, partnerships, and nonprofit ties.
  • DEKA’s revenue depends on a narrow medical-device portfolio; one regulatory failure hurts everything.
