About the job

Requirements
  • Typically 5+ years of professional experience, including meaningful management consulting experience at some point in the career.
  • Evidence of leading teams or major work streams in analytically intensive, client-facing environments.
  • Tangible experience with electronics, hardware products, semiconductors, engineering, product cost, procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or related product value creation.
  • Strong structured problem solving, synthesis, and self-direction, with the ability to frame unfamiliar problems and make progress without detailed instructions before jumping to solutions.
  • Clear, concise, and professional communication with clients and teams, including the ability to make technical issues accessible to senior decision makers.
  • Strong collaboration and listening skills, using internal and external expertise as inputs rather than substitutes for personal synthesis and team problem solving.
  • Demonstrated openness to feedback and ability to adjust when evidence, team input, or validated AI-assisted analysis challenges an initial view.
  • Ability to balance analytical depth with pace, judgment, and commercial practicality.
  • An undergraduate degree is required.
Responsibilities
  • Take broad strategic, product, engineering, cost, sourcing, and supply-chain questions and independently convert them into clear work plans, hypotheses, and learning agendas.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage day-to-day client relationships, including alignment on objectives, priorities, decisions, and next steps.
  • Define the business and technical questions to be addressed through benchmarking, teardown, should-cost, and design-to-value analyses.
  • Integrate technical, market, supplier, cost, and financial findings into coherent recommendations and practical implementation implications.
  • Lead interviews, working sessions, workshops, and executive presentations with clients, suppliers, technical specialists, and senior stakeholders.
  • Coach junior consultants and create an effective working model with India-based engineers and other technical specialists.
  • Learn unfamiliar problem areas quickly, use AI and specialist input selectively, and avoid defaulting to a familiar methodology or functional solution.
  • Review analyses and outputs for logical integrity, evidence quality, client relevance, and executive clarity.
  • Support proposal development, client development, and practice-building activities, including points of view, recruiting, and knowledge development.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA or relevant advanced technical degree is preferred.

Graypool raises $5M pre-seed from Werner and Kearney to automate freight dispatch

Graypool, formerly known as HOPTEK, has raised $5 million in pre-seed funding. The Atlanta-based startup announced the round and its rebrand at the American Trucking Associations' Management Conference & Exhibition in Charlotte. Investors include Werner Enterprises, Kearney, LPX Partners, Venture 53, and Jerk Ventures. Graypool's software helps truckload carriers decide which freight to take. It connects to existing transportation management systems and load boards, accepts profitable contract and spot loads, and routes exceptions for review. Werner, an investor and customer, books about $1.5 million in freight weekly through Graypool Source. Graypool says it has facilitated $150 million in annualized freight revenue across its customers. The company plans to expand its engineering teams and connect carriers to more sources of demand.

Beroe and Kearney launch MAX, AI decision engine connecting procurement data to execution

Beroe and Kearney have launched MAX, an AI-native decision engine for procurement, at DPW NYC. The platform connects intelligence and execution systems, continuously surfacing margin opportunities whilst optimising risk and ESG compliance. MAX addresses procurement's expanding mandate by providing real-time recommendations when market conditions shift, such as tariff changes or commodity price spikes. Built on a neurosymbolic framework, it combines Beroe's 30 million live market signals with Kearney's proprietary methodology and applies them against a company's own spend data. The product was developed with a Strategic Advisory Council of 13 global procurement organisations. It enables category managers to monitor every supplier and category continuously, rather than focusing selectively on the top 20% of spend. MAX will be available to select customers over the coming months.

Kearney partners with ServiceNow to deploy agentic AI for enterprise transformation

Kearney, a global management consulting firm, has partnered with ServiceNow to help organisations implement agentic AI at enterprise scale. The collaboration combines Kearney's strategic consulting expertise with ServiceNow's AI Platform to accelerate digital transformation and operational efficiency. The partnership focuses on three areas: operational excellence through faster exception handling, workflow optimisation with improved process velocity, and end-to-end impact via AI-enabled process orchestration. Kearney's approach, called BPR.ai, reimagines entire business processes rather than simply automating individual tasks. In a recent client engagement, the methodology helped transform an IT organisation into an AI-first operations model, achieving over 30% annual cost reduction whilst accelerating deployment of agentic AI across IT services. The offering targets sales, operations and service functions across organisations.
