About the company

Nplex Biosciences develops proteomics tools using nanotechnology, including the nELISA platform for high-throughput protein measurement. The platform uses DNA nanotechnology to identify proteins on micron-sized beads, enabling miniaturized, highly parallel immunoassays. It differentiates itself by combining DNA-based protein identification with bead-based assays and a scalable, cost-efficient workflow that lowers the cost of antibody-based proteomics. Its goal is to provide a reliable, scalable proteomics platform that supports drug discovery, biomarker discovery, and personalized medicine.

What believers are saying

  • Nomic and Broad Clinical Labs target broader commercialization starting in early 2027.
  • June 2026 Sanger and HESI OASIS collaborations expand high-value dataset generation.
  • September 2024's $42 million Series B lifted total funding above $60 million.

What critics are saying

  • Illumina bought SomaLogic in January 2026, strengthening a much larger proteomics rival.
  • Olink and SomaLogic already own distribution, squeezing Nomic's pricing and sales cycles.
  • If pharma adoption stalls before 2027, Nomic stays a niche services business.

What makes Nomic unique

  • nELISA delivers 99.99% specificity and 0.1 pg/mL sensitivity at 1,000-plus samples daily.
  • Omni 1000 packages 1,000 curated assays with absolute quantification for discovery workflows.
  • Nature Methods publication and Nomic Portal datasets validate scalable protein profiling workflows.
