About the Company

Council of Europe

Promotes human rights across Europe

The Council of Europe is an international organization that promotes and protects human rights, democracy, and the rule of law across Europe. It develops and disseminates common principles and standards, primarily through the European Convention on Human Rights and other reference texts, and supports states in implementing these rules. The organization operates by creating legal instruments, monitoring compliance, and providing information and guidance through public channels, educational resources, and job alerts. Unlike commercial companies, it relies on cooperation among its 46 member countries and targeted activities rather than selling products or services. Its main goal is to uphold the rights of individuals and strengthen democratic governance throughout the continent.
