  • 15+ years of overall experience with strong depth in software delivery governance, quality governance, or delivery assurance roles across multiple projects, programs, or portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and Agile delivery practices, release management, delivery controls, and delivery metrics.
  • Strong experience with CMM/CMMI, ISO, and software quality assurance frameworks, audits, compliance, and process governance.
  • Proven experience managing delivery risks, issues, escalations, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements at scale.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication, including leadership-ready reporting.
  • Experience working in a multi-location onshore/offshore delivery model.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delivery governance across a portfolio of accounts or programs to ensure predictable outcomes and sustained delivery health.
  • Define quality standards, establish governance guardrails, and ensure adherence to delivery controls across the lifecycle.
  • Drive cross-account delivery health reviews, deep dives, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence and reduce escalations.
  • Ensure disciplined execution of software delivery processes across requirements, design, build, test, release, and support across multiple teams and streams.
  • Define and enforce entry and exit criteria, release-readiness checkpoints, and quality gates across programs.
  • Ensure documentation practices, peer reviews, validation, traceability, and sign-offs are completed at the appropriate levels.
  • Implement and govern quality assurance processes aligned to CMM/CMMI and ISO frameworks and software quality assurance practices across delivery units and engagements.
  • Lead internal and external audits and ensure compliance readiness for delivery processes and artifacts.
  • Institutionalize standard practices, templates, checklists, and governance mechanisms across teams to reduce variation and increase predictability.
  • Establish governance cadences across programs, including steering meetings, weekly and monthly reviews, risk reviews, status reviews, and executive governance.
  • Own issue and escalation management frameworks, including root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and risk burn-down discipline.
  • Ensure risks are identified early, tracked with mitigation plans, and closed on time; intervene decisively when delivery is off track.
  • Define and govern portfolio delivery metrics, including service-level agreement adherence, defect leakage, rework, cycle time, productivity, stability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build dashboards and scorecards and ensure consistent reporting quality across engagements with leadership-ready insights.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives involving process optimization, automation adoption, and productivity levers with measurable outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior client stakeholders through proactive communication and transparent delivery governance.
  • Partner with client leadership, account leadership, engineering, quality assurance, project management office, security, and operations teams to ensure integrated delivery.
  • Escalate with options, trade-offs, and recommendations concerning scope, schedule, cost, and quality, and secure timely decisions.
  • Lead and mentor senior delivery managers, quality assurance leaders, project management office leads, and cross-functional delivery teams across an onshore-offshore model.
  • Build a delivery discipline and ownership culture and set expectations for performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify capability gaps and drive upskilling, coaching, succession planning, and leadership interventions.
  • Ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations and sponsor expectations and govern delivery commitments and changes with strong control.
  • Own or oversee delivery plans for budgets, timelines, resource strategy, and major delivery decisions affecting outcomes.
  • Provide governance for major scope changes and ensure the delivery posture protects client value and delivery economics.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience running a Delivery Excellence, Quality Assurance Office, or Delivery Governance Center of Excellence function.
  • Exposure to large transformation programs or multi-tower delivery models.
  • Familiarity with delivery governance and reporting tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow and operational dashboards.
  • Six Sigma or quality certifications are preferred.
  • Delivery leadership certifications are preferred.

Accenture partners with AWS to deliver cloud and AI tools for mid-sized companies

Accenture has announced a new collaboration with Amazon Web Services to deliver cloud and AI offerings specifically for mid-sized companies generating between $300 million and $3 billion in annual revenue. The technology bundle, available through AWS Marketplace, includes tools for virtual machine migration, cloud spending optimisation, security strengthening, and AI system risk testing. The offerings fall under Accenture Edge, a dedicated business unit serving mid-market clients. The collaboration also provides conversational AI, virtual agents, and customer service technology. 407 ETR, a Toronto-area electronic toll highway operator, is cited as an early customer. Accenture shares rose 1.6% in premarket trading following the announcement.
