Three to five years of full-cycle business-to-business billing or accounts receivable experience.
An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets experience, including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas.
Hands-on experience with a customer relationship management system such as HubSpot and electronic payment gateways such as Authorize.Net.
Working knowledge of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act requirements to ensure compliance.
Professionalism and confidentiality in interpersonal interactions.
Responsibilities
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Operations to support clients and promote success.
Support clients' billing inquiries through customer relationship management tickets, email, live chat, and calls.
Collaborate with the billing and business office teams to reduce accounts receivable aging and meet individual and team key performance indicators.
Own daily, weekly, and monthly payment processing and reconciliation, including variance analysis.
Work with the team to optimize collection efforts with past-due clients.
Build and maintain knowledge of billing technologies, including the TBS Billing Platform, HubSpot customer relationship management, and Monday.com.
Work with the Team Lead and management to train and mentor new team members.
Contribute to process-improvement efforts, including documentation and standard operating procedure development.
Desired Qualifications
Relevant credentials are a plus, such as Certified Billing & Coding Specialist, AAPC, or AAHAM CRCE.
Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.

What you will do:
Answering Service Care is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our growing Billing team. This in-office role is ideal for someone with strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in full-cycle B2B billing. The Billing Specialist will respond and resolve client inquiries, collect, process and reconcile client payments, support collections strategies to reduce AR aging, and more!
Key Responsibilities:
Partner cross‑functionally with other teams such as Sales, Customer Success, Finance and Operations to support clients and promote success
Support clients billing inquiries via CRM tickets, Emails, Live Chat and Calls
Strategic collaboration with the billing and business office teams to reduce AR aging and meet individual and team KPI’s
Own daily, weekly and monthly payment processing and reconciliation, with variance analysis
Work alongside their team to optimize collection efforts with past-due clients
Work alongside Team Lead and Management to train and mentor new team members
Contribute to process improvement efforts, including documentation and SOP development
Qualifications:
3‑5 yrs full‑cycle B2B Billing/AR experience
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is preferred
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets experience (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc)
Hands‑on experience with an CRM (e.g. Hubspot, ) and electronic payment gateways (i.e. Authorize.net)

Working knowledge of PCI‑DSS and HIPAA to ensure compliance
