Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax or related field
  • 6+ years of accounting experience in a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department
  • CPA, CMI, or JD preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of laws governing Sales and Use Taxes, personal property tax, business licenses/gross receipts tax
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Accounting system experience (Oracle, Netsuite or similar ERP)
  • Tax engine experience (Vertex, Onesource, Avalara or similar)
Responsibilities
  • Manage state & local tax audits
  • Review and analyze data for compliance reporting
  • Review and approve compliance reporting and payments
  • Assist with tax cash forecast
  • Exemption certificate management
  • Prepare and review tax provision
  • Perform tax research
  • Monitor changes in tax laws
  • Train and develop junior team members
  • Perform ad hoc projects
