Requirements
  • Registered as an EEG Technologist with CBRET and registered with C.A.E.T.
  • Hold current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Have at least one year of experience in EEG testing, with basic knowledge of the nervous system, human anatomy, and physiology.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment, assess patient capabilities and limitations, and adjust practice as necessary.
  • Interpret and evaluate clinical data and information.
  • Maintain appropriate registrations and affiliations, participate in regular in-service education sessions, and undertake training for electromyography.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills and work accurately and productively under stress.
  • Demonstrate good attendance, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrate values consistent with the organization's Code of Conduct and commitment to a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with health and safety policy and legislation.
  • Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to comprehensive staff, patient, and environmental safety programs and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Perform electroencephalograms to support the diagnosis of brain diseases, injuries, and tumors.
  • Support documentation, equipment monitoring, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary, patient-centered care environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with pediatric EEG testing.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
