Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • At least 3 years of litigation law firm experience is required.
  • The candidate must be able to travel nationwide to attend trial.
  • The candidate must be familiar with and able to follow client billing guidelines and enter and record accurate billing entries.
  • The candidate must be able to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities.
  • The candidate must be able to anticipate challenges, exercise independent judgment, make sound decisions, and take effective action.
  • The candidate must be comfortable learning new technology and processes.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, edit, and proofread correspondence, agreements, pleadings, and other documents.
  • Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case, regularly update team members on case status, and promptly alert attorneys to important client and case needs.
  • Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions, and issuing subpoenas.
  • Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms.
  • Manage electronic case files in iManage to keep information organized and easy to locate.
  • Prepare for trial by compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, and attending trial.
