Requirements
- The attorney must be licensed to practice law in Nevada.
- Additional licensing in South Carolina, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, New York, Nebraska, Idaho, California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, or North Carolina is welcomed.
- The attorney must be comfortable appearing in court and able to appear on time consistently using personal transportation.
- A personal vehicle is required for some court locations.
- Multitasking and strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory for a high-volume caseload.
- Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for, timely appear at, and properly handle court appearances within reasonably accessible travel distance.
- Review and request court coverage when necessary for court calls where the Associate will not appear, including attaching required documents and orders.
- Draft, review, and file necessary motions during litigation.
- Prepare for and participate in trials and arbitrations, including travel to distant counties when necessary.
- Communicate with consumers, consumers’ employers, and consumers’ attorneys as necessary to resolve accounts and suits.
