The Job

We’re seeking a Capital Markets associate to support the whole loan sales and securitization process. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Capital Markets, treasury and accounting to execute transactions and ensure all aspects of internal and external reporting are correct. This role is ideal for a capital markets professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail and can manage several projects/priorities at a time.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in preparing securitization materials such as loan tapes, performance data, marketing presentations
Support transaction activities such as facilitating documentation, working with rating agencies, banks and investors
Respond to investor questions/inquiries
Assist with ad hoc transactions for investors such as transfers or financings
Prepare, reconcile and deliver monthly reporting for securitizations and/or whole loan investors
Prepare monthly performance data for internal and external use
Primary contact for investors regarding reporting
Automate daily/weekly/monthly processes as much as possible
Ad hod support of other Capital Markets transactions (generating loan tapes, performance analysis, etc.)

Requirements-Development & Expertise

2-4 years of experience in consumer lending, FinTech, or financial services.
Proficiency in Excel and SQL
Strong analytical skillset

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally across Finance, Risk, Accounting, Legal, and Operations teams.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Barclays completes acquisition of Best Egg to expand US personal lending

Barclays has completed its acquisition of Best Egg, a US direct-to-consumer personal loan origination platform, following the announcement in October 2025. The deal strengthens Barclays' US consumer banking subsidiary with a scaled, capital-light personal lending platform. Best Egg will continue operating under its existing brand and be managed by Barclays US Consumer Bank. The acquisition supports Barclays' US growth strategy by complementing its partnership-driven credit card and deposit businesses whilst enhancing diversification and capital efficiency. Barclays Group CEO C.S. Venkatakrishnan described the US as a strategically important growth market, whilst Best Egg CEO Paul Ricci said joining Barclays would accelerate growth and support continued innovation in customer financial solutions.
