- Experience in a medical office setting and/or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office is required.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems and medical terminology is required.
- Obtain patients' health histories and accurately enter them into the electronic medical record.
- Set up and prepare examination rooms for patient visits and ensure cleanliness.
- Perform preliminary physical tests and obtain vital signs.
- Set up additional diagnostic or treatment equipment.
- Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed.
- Complete documentation for patients' medical records, test requests, medications, and patient education accurately and promptly.
- Perform scribe duties as needed.
- Assist the physician as directed.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in an obstetrics and gynecology office is preferred.
Together Women's Health partners with obstetrics and gynecology practices to form a larger network of providers. It acquires and affiliates independent OB-GYN practices and handles back-office functions like revenue cycle management, marketing, HR, finance, accounting, and IT so physicians can focus on patient care. The networked practice model reduces overhead, improves negotiating power with insurers, and enables more in-office services such as mammography and advanced ultrasounds. The goal is to build a scalable nationwide network across multiple states by growing through affiliations and strategic partnerships to expand access to care.
