  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • 12+ years related experience.
  • RTL Design - Experience in RTL Design using System Verilog UVM.
  • Experience and understanding of complex SoC design flows, including block and chip level simulation and debug, logic synthesis, static timing analysis, layout and revision control.
  • Working knowledge of design and verification tools such as Synopsys Design Compiler, Cadence Incisive, waveform viewers, and other similar tools.
  • Scripting and programming skills using csh, bash, perl, python, tcl, etc.
  • Protocol knowledge and experience in PCIe, CXL. DDR, SAS will be an asset.
  • Knowledge of AHB/AXI bus protocols is desired.
  • Experience with Formal Design a plus.
  • Experience in using third party VIPs is desired.
  • Experience in integration of high speed, mixed signal IP models.
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills and the ability to proactively solve issues.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English will be an asset.
  • Excellent teamwork and time management skills, self-direction, the ability to work under pressure and the desire to excel in a competitive environment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform design of a RTL design of IP and SoC sub-systems by working with cross-functional teams globally.
  • Pre-silicon design test planning and RTL debug.
  • Support Emulation and debug of the IP solutions.
  • Support Post-silicon integration, bring-up, and validation.
  • Learning and dynamically applying knowledge of the SoC, protocols and standards.
  • Effectively presenting technical information to small teams of engineers.
  • The role and responsibilities will grow with the individual candidate's skills and interests.
  • Design ownership of complex digital integrated circuits at the block, subsystem or device level, which are coded in Verilog, System Verilog.
  • Translate complex architectural requirements into a Design Test Plan that is realizable in targeted technology node.
  • Lead and mentor fellow design engineers; scope and schedule deliverables.
  • Define subsystem/block feature design, describe design and implementation details into design engineering documents and registers documents.
  • Communicate regularly with the design and verification team in multiple locations to resolve issues, communicate status and solve technical problems.
  • Communicate with architects to understand requirements and discuss results.
  • Become versed in applicable protocols like PCIe, CXL, DDR etc.

A Chip-Scale Atomic Clock (CSAC) is an essential reference for these systems, providing the necessary precise and stable timing where traditional atomic clocks are too large or power-hungry and where other satellite-based references may be compromised. Microchip Technology (Nasdaq: MCHP) today announces its second generation Low-Noise Chip-Scale Atomic Clock (LN-CSAC), model SA65-LN, in a lower profile height and designed to operate in a wider temperature range, enabling low phase noise and atomic clock stability in demanding conditions.
