  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proof of car insurance upon hire.
  • A personal vehicle appropriate for construction sites; daily reimbursement is available.
  • A good driving record and drug-free status.
  • A Nuclear Density Gauge certificate; training is available if needed.
  • High school education or equivalent.
Responsibilities
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control field observations during site earthworks, including grading, and site improvements, including utilities, wall backfill, and street construction, following design plans and recommendations.
  • Confirm compliance with project and plan specifications and engineering recommendations.
  • Conduct in-place density testing of engineered soil and rock materials during site development using a nuclear density gauge.
  • Use a provided Surface laptop to prepare accurate, detailed documentation of testing and observations; submit testing and observation reports daily to Construction Service Managers for review.
  • Sample soil and rock and deliver the samples for geotechnical laboratory testing.
  • Represent ENGEO on job sites and provide client service.
  • Cross-train in special inspections.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, Geology, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Interest in cross-training, such as Construction SWPPP, and ACI and ICC certifications.
  • An ACI Field Testing Technician certification; training reimbursement is available if needed.
  • An ICC Reinforced Concrete certification; training reimbursement is available if needed.
  • An ICC Post Tensioning certification; training reimbursement is available if needed.
