Requirements
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule with early mornings, evening cases, occasional weekend coverage, and overnight travel.
  • Must be able to meet the credentialing requirements of assigned medical facilities, including client-required immunizations, health screenings, background checks, and drug screens where required and permitted by law.
  • Must have basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must hold a valid United States driver's license with no major violations.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and manipulate medical equipment weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving, communication, customer service, organizational, and attention-to-detail abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate surgical technologies, providing technical equipment guidance to surgeons and staff before and during surgery.
  • Perform preoperative checklists, sterilization, equipment calibrations, and required documentation.
  • Load and transport surgical technologies to healthcare facilities.
  • Practice safe vehicle operations, safe workplace practices, and laser safety techniques.
  • Meet customer needs and foster professional relationships with ForTec team members and healthcare partners.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior medical, emergency medical technician, surgical technologist, or military experience.
  • Experience working long days and unpredictable schedules, including early mornings, together with an eagerness to learn.
